Like a domestic alpha-wife speedrun… until suddenly the cookie delivery service shuts down because he’s getting kicked out of his apartment and desperately needs a place to live.

Shen, who pretends he’s composed but absolutely is not, immediately offers him one of his spare houses he “rarely uses” (casual flex), so now they’re LIVING TOGETHER. Cohabitation arc unlocked, achievement achieved, serotonin delivered.

Then we get the BEST reveal: Hua Yong is actually the rich, mysterious CEO of X Holdings. And yes, I called it. I guessed it. I am a GENIUS. Sometimes I’m Sherlock-level correct and other times I’m like “why did I think that?” but THIS TIME I was RIGHT and I’m taking the win.

Next up: the business dinner. Hua Yong goes as Sheng Wenlang’s “secretary” (the man is literally CEO-ing in disguise), and Shen shows up with a date for business reasons. Hua Yong is supposed to drink on behalf of Sheng Wenlang and ends up drinking WAY too much because he’s a responsible little overachiever. He gets wasted and leaves early.

Shen sees this, panics instantly like “my omega is not okay,” and runs home to check on him. And THEN THEY KISS. FINALLY. I ascended.

Then comes the psychological warfare: we find out Hua Yong has been TRAINING Shen.Yes — feeding him cookies, then taking them away, then giving him foods he hates-but-can’t-refuse, and then rewarding him with kisses. This is not a romance, this is a behavioral conditioning experiment and Shen is the willingly confused test subject.

Then one night, Hua Yong comes home late, and Shen — emotionally wounded little alpha puppy — goes drinking with his friends. He comes home drunk and messy, and Hua Yong just unleashes pink, jealous pheromones everywhere like “HOW DARE YOU.” The entire room is glowing pink rage. It’s beautiful. It’s toxic. I love it.

And THEN the major plot twist: Hua Yong has a pheromone imbalance and literally cannot be intimate unless permanently marked — meaning a lifelong bond. No sexy times yet because biology said “SLOW. BURN.”

The episode ends RIGHT in the middle of the pink-pheromone jealousy explosion, with both of them drowning in emotions and me screaming at my screen.
