Connection with Nature is one of the most reliable and effective ways to support human self-regulation and overall well being. (The scientific literature around this is extensive and robust.) Deepening one's connection with Nature often creates reciprocity: we protect that which we love deeply. For many of us, the sense of wonder, awe and joy we tap into in Nature, supports our self-regulation and well-being.
This video explores the beauty and wonder I experienced during a short trip to California's Central Coast. I offer some (very brief and summarized) education about forest and wetlands ecosystems.
