You will be taken to the nearest station to Mt. Akagi, JR Maebashi station which is about 1 hour by train from Tokyo. Every year, from late December to March, the summit of Mt. Akagi is well covered with snow. One of the unique charms of Mt. Akagi is that you can drive halfway and start hiking from the parking lot.
We will gather at Maebashi Station, rent a car and head for Mt. Akagi. Mt. Akagi is easily accessible from Maebashi city and before you know, we will arrive there while watching the approaching mountains! After visiting Akagi Shrine, head to Fudo Waterfall. Get lost into the wilderness of the snow-capped mountains and fresh air that will make you forget the stress from the daily life.
