You will Need

2 1/2 Cups of Plain/ All Purpose Flour
1/2 a Cup of Softened Butter
3/4 of a cup of Soft Brown Sugar
1 Tablespoon of Mixed Spice
1 Cup of Black Treacle
2 Eggs
1 Teaspoon of Bicarbonate of Soda mixed with
1 Tablespoon of Cold Water

For the Ginger Butter

1 inch of Peeled Ginger, Chopped
1/2 a cup or 225g of Butter
