this old school slice is simple and moreish. easy to make. recipe written below.
pre heat oven 180 degrees C
19x29cm slice tin with baking paper
1/2 cup plain flour
1/4 cup self raising flour
2 table spoons cocoa powder
sift all 3 set aside
med bowl
1 cup firm packed brown sugar
1 egg
1 tea spoon vanilla extract
125g butter melted
stir
then add the sifted flours and stir
then add
1/2 cup desicated coconut
stir
spread over base of tin
bake 22 to 25 mins til firm
while baking make the icing
small bowl
sift
1 cup icing sugar and
2 table spoons cocoa powder
then add
2 tea spoons butter or marg
1 table spoon hot water
mix well
once base comes out of oven
spread with icing while hot
sprinkle coconut
leave on bench to go cold
cut how you please xo
