The project, which has an initial funding of Rs 32 lakh, will be executed jointly by researchers at Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology in Prayagraj, IIIT Gwalior, and the Punjab Engineering College in Chandigarh. The team has three years to deliver results because this antenna is key to making 6G’s promised speeds, which are up to one terabyte per second, a reality. This is a thousand times faster than today’s top 5G speeds, and millions of times faster than the mobile internet most of us use daily.
