This looked too good.
Flüela Pass delivered deep, untouched powder, blue skies, and one of those days where everything feels possible. As we went higher, we started thinking about pushing for one of the nearby summits.
Then we heard it.
Multiple whumpfs reminded us that fresh snow doesn’t always mean stable snow. Instead of forcing a bigger objective, we chose safer terrain and turned it into a multilap day.
Two really fun laps, incredible views, and a long, slightly chaotic way back to the car.
Not every ski tour is about going for the bigger objective. Sometimes it’s about listening to the mountain.
