His kindness pours into hearts that are open to trust Him. Just like mouths opened eagerly to taste of His goodness, they will not be disappointed. This is probably God's way of encouraging us to love Him with all our hearts and souls, not just our minds. Of course, this doesn't mean it's okay to sleepwalk into mindless mistakes, as David probably learnt when he wrote this Psalm 34 after his close shave with death in Goliath country. Another important caveat running through this psalm is that God's promise of special favours goes to those who revere Him, are upright and contrite in heart, and willing to accept the afflictions that may come their way.
