you took the land that was our home.
You caused the droughts that took our rain,
you hunted us and watched our pain.
The wilderness we lived in
was a perfect ecosystem,
where every being mattered;
all earthly things were sacred.
Our beautiful existence,
driven to extinction.

With weapons and fences you cut us down,
desecrated us on the ground;
exploited us and justified:
“All things are here to serve mankind”.
And when the last one sounded his call,
he knew he stood where he would fall.
