The holiday of Purim (aka the Jewish Halloween) is an ancient holiday that commemorates the miracle of salvation under the Persian rulership. It took place around the 5th century BCE under King Xerxes I or known as King Ahaseurus in the book of Esther in the Bible. The plot is an intricate one of deception and deceit that end ultimately in ironic salvation. The hand of God seems hidden, disguised if you will. When all hope seems lost, at the final moments, a saviour is found with the righteous Mordechai and his niece, Esther. It is a worthy read if you have not done so. And if you have, read it again for deeper insights. I promise they are there...
This song is from the verses that have Queen Esther requesting the King (and Haman the villain of the story) to come and feast with her. It is her desire and request to be with the king. Ultimately she will reveal her secret identity and save her nation at the feast, but there ive gone giving away spoilers. But that request is the climax of the story where everything hangs in the balance. The kings response is that she shares his kingdom with her and he wishes to fulfill her every request.
Isn't that our deepest desires in our relationships? To fulfill our loved ones every request? And to protect them from any and all harm?
The beauty of the Purim holiday is also that it features a heroin, Queen Esther. It is rare to find a woman to stepping into the role of hero in ancient literature. In the spirit of this fact, along with the theme of V'nahafachu (to "flip upside down") that a day of potential mourning became celebration, we have flipped the biblical verse to also be in the perspective of a King asking his Queen to grant his request....
We hope you enjoy and have a merry Purim!

I need to thank a lot of incredibly talented people, who gave of themselves tremendously to make this miracle happen in time for purim. Firstly the producer Ben Wallick https://www.benwallick.com/, achi you have surpassed the teacher…. Secondly Shifra Levy for adding your special sweetness to this track. What a queen you are. Mendy Portnoy for making time in his busy production schedule to work his magic fingers on the keys., its always tasteful and just right. What a treat to have had met a soul brother on this project by chance. Thank you Noah for helping out with your technical abilities on that hemishe recording session, you helped make it sound professional when I probably would have left my doors wide open with the jack hammer and my fish tank bubbling. And of course your handsome face added another dimension to the video, I’m glad you mastered the bass so fast. And last but not in anyway least, Michael David P. / kedvmuke , you saved the day at the last minute when I had no one else to shoot this video. I gave you the tightest deadline possible and you came through. I realize now why you weren’t shivering at the shoot like us Americans because that was like a beach day in Russia.
