Assalamu Alaikum everyone 🌙
Today we visited Maslis Al Gorfat, Dubai for the beautiful Haq Al Laila celebration — a lovely Emirati tradition celebrated before Ramadan where children dress in colorful traditional clothes, sing, and receive sweets and gifts.
This event was extra special because it supported young Emirati entrepreneurs, so most stalls were run by talented teenagers in beautiful traditional attire ❤️
✨ What we enjoyed:
• Cute charm & bracelet making stalls
• Fidget toy crafting & DIY accessories
• Kids painting, coloring & fun games
• FREE ice creams 🍦
• Kids painted tiny turtles 🐢 and won purple caps
• Haq Al Laila treat bags (kids were sooo happy!)
• Tried Oman chips with yogurt & hot sauce — surprisingly delicious!
• Chocolate waffle on stick with M&M, Lotus & marshmallow 😋
Honestly, everything was lovely but a bit expensive for us — most activities started from 50 AED+, except turtle painting (5 AED).
After the event:
🔥 Quick Nesto Hypermarket stop for BBQ charcoal
🍗 I had already marinated chicken, so hubby did BBQ
🥣 Made yogurt mint & tamarind chutney
🎉 Called all the kids from villa and enjoyed a fun BBQ night together
Family time, culture, food & memories — perfect day Alhamdulillah ❤️
