The Noun Complement: #1 The Six Forms

Описание: From my perspective, the contemporary Noun Complement is NOT categorically “contemporary” or “descriptive.” The noun complement has been employed—profusely!—since the birth of the English language. The noun complement has always been with us—simply hidden in plain sight!

In this video, I demonstrate SIX forms of the Noun Complement; the first three are the traditional/contemporary forms; the second three are my personal innovations:
(1) Prepositional Phrase
(2) Infinitive Phrase
(3) Noun Clause
(4) Proper Noun (i.e., a Proper Noun complements a Common Noun)
(5) Name Complement #1 (i.e., a Proper Name complements a Proper/Given Name)
(6) Name Complement #2 (i.e., a Proper/Compound Proper Name complements a Family Name)

In my video entitled "The Noun Complement: #4 The Eight Forms," I make the case that you COULD conceivably envision EIGHT forms of Noun Complement:

All in all, YOU have the final say in this matter. Like I said many times, there are those who don't believe there even IS such a thing as a Noun Complement! Ain't that a hoot?
