For our Centennial, we asked some of our friends and collaborators to speak about what they love about the Morgan. First up, artist Walton Ford describes some of his favorites drawings in our collection and what about these works inspire him. Ford is excited by keen observation and interpretation as exemplified by Antoine-Louis Barye, Francisco Goya, William Hogarth, Samuel Palmer and Rembrandt.
You can see Walton's work and some of the works that excite him in his exhibition "Walton Ford: Birds and Beasts of the Studio" on view in New York City from April 12 to October 20, 2024.
