For years a lot of people have suggested purchasing a Ronald Dodd magnetizing device to help save older HO and OO locomotives. I was hesitant to purchase one due to the cost but I finally took the plunge and ordered one up.
The first locomotive I decided to test was an early 1950s diesel which had high current draw. The magnetizer managed lower the amp draw from 3/4 of an and amp to 1/2.
