In this video, I restore and repair a Philips ROLLER 2 cassette tape recorder from 1985.
I bought this unit in very poor condition, but its unusual and unconventional design immediately caught my attention — it looks completely out of place for typical 1980s audio equipment.
What makes this tape recorder interesting is not its specifications, but its strange visual concept. For its time, the design feels experimental and even provocative. That is why I decided to repair it, restore its functionality, and bring it back to a proper condition.
