Ingredients
• Ground beef – 500 g / 1 lb cooked, crumbled
• Onion – 1 medium (100 g / 5 oz)
• Garlic – 2 cloves (6 g / 2 tsp minced)
• Canned diced tomatoes – 400 g / 14 oz
• Tomato soup (condensed) – 295 g / 10.5 oz
• Canned kidney beans (drained) – 400 g / 14 oz
• Chili powder – 10 g / 2 tsp
• Ground cumin – 5 g / 1 tsp
• Jalapeños chopped (optional)
• Salt – 5 g / 1 tsp
• Black pepper – 2 g / ½ tsp
• Tortilla chips (plain or lightly salted) – 150 g
• Shredded cheddar cheese – 200 g
• Optional garnish: Sour cream – 120 g / ½ cup sliced olives, jalapeños, or spring onions
greased 9x13-inch (23x33 cm) baking dish
Cover with foil and bake at 180°C / 350°F for 20 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
Serve: Dollop with sour cream and add garnishes. Serve hot, scooped out like a retro nacho bake.
