Today marks the beginning of taxi route closures in several areas in the Western Cape due to violence linked to the taxi industry.
Authorities stepped in to shutdown certain routes for 30 days in an effort to restore order and ensure public safety.
As a result, commuters are being advised to seek alternative transport options, as disruptions are expected to impact daily travel for thousands.
