A Gallo-Roman City Hidden In The Soil | Le Fâ

Описание: Welcome to another Gallo-Roman site. This one is fairly unknown, even though it used to be a huge Roman city back in the day, as big as Bordeaux! It is the city of Novioregum and used to be a large trading port in the Roman Empire. A small museum gives information on the site. Outside we can enjoy the remains of two large structures. First off is the circular temple. While that isn’t quite special, it is quite special to find it here in the middle of nowhere. The temple itself must have been really tall too judging by its walls. Further along we find the remains of a Roman bathhouse. It has the typical layout of cold and warm baths, perfect for the Gallo-Roman citizen. And the archaeological research continues to this day, so we hope to one day return and find even more amazing ruins. Thanks for watching!
