This is the home-style chicken curry and the most authentic style of chicken curry. It is packed with rustic flavours without any drama. This is every Indian household "Special" curry guys. Perfectly paired with naan, chapati or pilau rice.
Chicken 350g
Yoghurt 2 tbsp
Ginger and garlic paste 1 tbsp
Chilli powder 1 tsp
Salt 1 tsp
Sauce for the curry
Rapeseed oil 3-4 tbsp
Bay leaves 4
Cumin seeds 2 tsp
Green cardamon 4
Cloves 5-6
Black peppercorns 2 tsp
Onions 2 finely chopped
Tomatoes 2 finely chopped
Gram flour (roasted) 1 tbsp
Coriander powder 3 tbsp
Cumin powder 2 tsp
Red chilli powder 2 tsp
Turmeric powder 2btsp
Fenugreek leaves dried 2 tsp
Garam masala 1 tsp
Fresh coriander leaves chopped 1 tbsp
Salt to taste
Warm water as required
