I Think It's A Tornado - SEVERE STORM DAMAGE - We Didn't See It Coming! Unprepared. RV Travel Blog

Описание: We take the steep and windy road down to Army Camp in the New River Gorge in West Virginia. A few days into being at camp we decide to go explore. It was a bright sunny day, but little did we know the weather was about to get really bad and turn into one of the worst storms either one of us had ever experienced. Getting back to our trailer took over 5 hours and a lot of hard work from first responders, neighbors and yours truly, Scottie. The locals described the storm to us as being like a tornado except there is no twisting. A Derecho is a storm that has straight=line-winds and that are long lasting, and very wide spread. The are also associated with fast-moving groups of thunderstorms.

We are a couple traveling full-time through out the USA. We live full time in our Heartland Big Country 29.50 5th wheel. Older video's show our adventures when we lived in our truck camper for 5 years. The move up to the 5th wheel has been an exciting move and our life style has changed just a little over the years of being on the road, all for the better!
