Описание: This is one of the more highly prized records in my collection. Released by The Victor Talking Machine Company in the Spring of 1903 the 14-inch Victor "Deluxe Special Record" was intended to entice the most discriminate record buyers of 1903 to purchase this gigantic record since it could play for an astonishing SIX MINUTES and with increased volume! But, unfortunately, the records were a commercial failure. The record buying public obviously felt that these heavy, fragile and awkward sized records were simply not practical and at two dollars each, sales were almost non-existent. As a result, production of these oversized early long playing discs quickly and quietly ceased. It is likely that fewer than 50 of these discs survive today. This is only the second time in the many years I've owned this disc that I have played it. I hope you are patient as this gentle giant plays for nearly 6 minutes.
