The Great Pursuit - Pursuit Cornered x The Great Turnabout (Ace Attorney Remix)

An idea partly inspired by a random thought I had a couple days ago and also from the comments in my previous Phoenix Wright x Great Ace Attorney video (   • If Phoenix Sounded Like The Great Ace Atto...  ). Had a huge amount of fun, jumping around and deep thinking for this one. Interestingly it didn't take much listening to Pursuit ~ Cornered (given I've listened to that piece to way too much now), but it did take a lot thinking about how best to incorporate the melody of it with the instrumentation and rhythmic feel of The Great Turnabout. It was a nice challenge!

On top of all of this was actually transcribing The Great Turnabout and all of its very complex elements. Literally had to sit there today working out all the notes for the really fast violin part towards the end of The Great Turnabout. It's not a fun process but when it's done, it's so satisfying!

A separate side-note of this is one is mixing because so much of the 'sound' of The Great Ace Attorney comes down to the nature of how instruments were recorded and how they were used. Not just what instruments were chosen. The dry sounding strings, the incredibly upfront and punchy brass, utilising percussion in a very melodic way and so much more. All of this had to be incorporated to try and make this work.
