Описание: The Fairchild C-82 delivered a modern concept in cargo aircraft despite its relatively short production run. It was succeeded by Fairchild's C-119 Flying Boxcar that in many ways was an upgraded version of the C-82. Assigned to squadrons of the Tactical Air Command and Military Air Transport Service with a few participating in the Berlin Air Lift. The legacy of the Packet includes the Flight of The Phoenix motion picture and a 1950's minor league baseball franchise.
