The Curtiss C-46 Commando - the often overlooked cargo/transport aircraft of WW2 and beyond.

Описание: The C-46 began life as the CW-20 and was intended to be a premier airliner in the late 1930's. It was conscripted into military service in WW2, and served in some roles after WW2, and returned to the civilian market. Ironically, it was built for safety, but experienced several issues related to fuel and hydraulic leaks and inflight explosions. Its legacy includes years of service, often in remote air fields, with countless stories to tell.
