Supporting practical progress in wind-assisted propulsion
Synergy Marine Group teams onboard and ashore supported the successful installation of four eSAIL® suction sails on the MR tankship MAERSK Trieste, managed by Synergy Denmark A/S. The project followed nearly a year of detailed technical planning, risk assessment, and scheduled yard activities, culminating in the final installation during the vessel’s yard stay in Antwerp.
Throughout the process, ship and shore teams worked closely to ensure safe execution, effective interface management, and readiness for integration into day-to-day operations. The installation reflects a disciplined, step-by-step approach to adopting wind-assisted propulsion—balancing innovation with operational reliability and practical execution.
