This video shows how to use Microsoft Excel to do material balance calculations for reactive systems with recycle streams using the tearing technique. The idea of the tearing technique was discussed in the previous video.
There is a wrong calculation done in minute 4:24 on calculating the rate of reaction, it was calculated based on stream 1 while it should be calculated from stream 2. The right calculations are available in this file:
