In weightlifting community some think biceps serves only for beauty. And as we know weightlifters are too brutal for that.
I also was surprised to get biceps curls in my plan from weightlifting coach.
But he explained that biceps are important for the elbow joint health.
Look at these lifts: do you feel anxious for their elbows? I do, because my elbows also tend to overextend.
And as it is common in olympic weightlifting to train triceps and avoid training biceps I could make it even worse. A bigger tension from one side of the arm would create muscle imbalance.
What we need is to balance muscles from all the sides of the joint to have it straight and solid.
