De Palma was a leading member of the New Hollywood generation, however has always been more controversial and divisive than his counterparts Scorsese, Spielberg, Coppola & Lucas. In this essay I explore De Palma and his distinct approach towards cinema and make the case for why I think he deserves even more recognition than he’s had.
