Описание: Welcome to Southport Middle School, located in Port Saint Lucie, Florida. Our vision is to provide our students with a challenging and comprehensive educational program, which includes academic excellence, enthusiasm for learning, and social-emotional development and wellness.

At Southport, our mission is to inspire and empower compassionate learners who are committed to creating a better and more peaceful world.

Southport is a 5 Star School centered on teaching and rewarding students for positive behavior, encouraging responsibility, and respect for self and others. Our PBS team hosts monthly team-based reward activities and quarterly school-wide reward events.

Our students and teachers plan and participate in service-learning projects designed to offer solutions to problems facing our community. Southport is focused on creating a sense of belonging for all students.

Students at Southport are highly engaged in Physical Education, Band, Theater, and Foreign Language. Our Drama department produces two successful musicals each year, and our Band hosts two fabulous concerts as well. We offer intramural sports as well as after-school clubs, ranging from Karaoke to Latin Dance, Chess, Yoga, and Fishing club.

In addition, we provide multiple avenues for students to grow and expand their leadership skills. Students can serve as Peer Tutors, Welcome Ambassadors, Student Council Representatives, or belong to the National Junior Honor Society.

Monthly parent involvement activities, mixed with a balanced inter-disciplinary approach to curriculum and a focus on Growth Mindset, is what makes Southport Middle School a premier academic center of excellence.
