Teachers and staff deliver an exceptional education in a safe and secure environment where instructional services and programs meet the needs of all students. We pride ourselves on a positive school climate for students, as well as a cohesive family-work environment for all.

Northport K-thru-8 has consistently been recognized as a Kids at Hope and a PBIS Model School for our efforts in creating meaningful and significant improvements for all students. Our emphasis on social emotional learning through building relationships with students lays the groundwork for academic success. We are most proud of our Navigators and their enthusiasm to learn.

Northport K-8 offers a challenging and engaging curriculum in a safe environment. Reading, writing, math and technology are strongly emphasized in all courses. Students also have the opportunity to participate in a variety of elective courses including culinary, band, art, technology and physical education.

Community involvement at Northport is unparalleled. Partnerships include Veteran Partners in Education, First United Methodist Church of Port Saint Lucie, a profound parent engagement program, Read Across America, Grandparents Day, Supplies for Students and our Navigator of the Month ceremonies. Along with a wide range of diversity activities, these are only a sample of the community-based offerings at Northport K-8 School.

A number of extracurricular activities are also available to students. These include National Junior Honor Society, Student Council, Track and Field, Basketball, Volleyball, Girls on the Run, Heart & Soul, Cheerleading, Safety Patrol and a Debate Team and Poetry Club. Students also participate in school-wide activities such as our positive behavior program, Young Authors, Project Citizen, our annual trip to Washington D.C., History Fair, Science Fair, book fairs, and mentorship clubs such as Boys to Men and Girls to Women.

Northport has several unique programs including courses for K-thru-8 Gifted students. Through Rising Stars and Northstars students are offered opportunities to explore STEAM, and different fields of Science and Engineering with Project Lead the Way. Students complete hands-on challenges through programs on Automation and Robotics, Medical Detectives, Lasers and Photonics, Drone Flight, and Green Energy. Students also take Spanish and can earn up to three high school credits.
