Gateway Elementary Music Ensembles Concert- May 2024

Описание: Gateway Ensemble Concert
Our 4th and 5th grade ensembles shared their favorite pieces with our friends and families in our end of year concert on Friday, May 3, 2024. Our ensembles and clubs meet during recess each week for about 25 minutes. Students love coming into the music room to socialize, play music together, and work on their singing, playing, composing, and improvisation skills. We do not have auditions. Everyone who is interested is welcome to join!

Concert Order:
Recorder Club (This NEW club started in February 2024. We were so excited to learn a brand new instrument together! Some students even wrote a few solo phrases for our first piece!)

Chorus (This semester we focused on exploring our independence with lots of solo opportunities for singers and also singing in a canon.)

Orff Ensemble- (This semester we focused on arranging lots of layers to create multiple sections of a Rondo form. We also explored instrumentation, range, and LOTS of improvisation in C pentatonic to create our own unique version of our favorite piece!)
