Jim Steinman and Barry Keating's RHINEGOLD - 1973 Mercer Arts Production (Restored Compilation)

Hello again, I have been working on this for a little while. I decided instead of having the Rhinegold audio split into two videos it'd be better as one, and that I could improve the sound further and so here is the result. Instead of having the songs in the chronology of the 1975 script as the 2005 Rockman Philharmonic CD does, I've split them between the demos/rehearsal and the live content as I did with the two videos.

The demos are dated variously, probably in 1972 and 1973, and the live content is almost certainly from the June 1973 Mercer Arts Production. (Note - the 'Instrumental' demo is actually cut from the 1975 Kid Champion instrumental suite!)

This was the production with the book by Barry Keating and Jim, lyrics Barry, and music by Jim. In 1975 Rhinegold was staged again with a book and lyrics by Steinman as I understand, and there were other later attempts after that. And of course, the fantastic 2023 version.

Anyway with all that said, I hope this is a better version of the audio, even if only slightly, and I hope I have my info right, the lineup for the demos is unconfirmed but comes on good authority. As always, enjoy and never stop rockin'!
