FISH MOILEE RECIPE
INGREDIENTS
1.Any good quality fish 250 – 300g (4 – 5 pieces)
(Pearl spot, Seer fish etc.)
2.Big onion (chopped) 2 nos., 2 cups
3.Tomato(thin rounds) 1 big
4.Ginger (chopped small) ½ “ piece
5.Garlic ( “ ) 4 – 5 cloves
6.Green chilli (slits) 3 – 4
7.Salt to taste
8.Coconut oil/ Butter 2 – 3 tsp
9.Curry leaves 2 twigs
10.Fennel powder ½ tsp
11.Coconut extract 1st ½ cup
Coconut extract 2nd 2 cups
FOR MARINATION
1.Lemon juice ½ of a lemon
2.Salt to taste
3.Turmeric powder a big pinch
4.Pepper powder 1 tsp
PREPARATION
1.Mix the marinating ingredients well, and marinate the cleaned
drained fish fillet. Set aside 20 mts, cook in hot oil (both sides) 2 mts each.
2.Into the left over oil add ginger and garlic, just saute 1 – 2 mts,
add chilli, saute, the big onion till transparent .
3.Place the slightly fried fish over the onion pour a little of the the
second milk of coconut add water, boil to cook the fish 8- 10 mts,
adding salt, stirring slowly.
4.Add the remaining second extract boil, then the first extract put off the
flame, place the tomatoe rounds. Put off the flame,
garnish with fennel powder and curry leaves.
