In this study, we examine Genesis 27:28–28:11 — the aftermath of Jacob’s deception and the continuation of the covenant blessing.
In this passage we see:
• Isaac’s blessing pronounced over Jacob
• Esau’s anguish and plea for a blessing
• The deep division between the brothers
• Rebekah sending Jacob away for protection
• Isaac deliberately reaffirming the covenant blessing
• Jacob leaving the land of promise
Though the blessing is confirmed, the family is fractured. Sin brings consequences, even when God’s purposes continue.
Genesis 27–28 shows that God’s covenant promise advances, but human failure carries real cost.
