Fluffy and really delicious date and orange scones. Great idea for breakfast or snack. It will take only about 10 min to make.
Ingredients:
2 cups (about 270g) pitted dates, chopped
3 cups (450g) self-raising flour
1/4 cup (60g) sugar
zest of 1 orange
1 tsp baking powder
75g/2 1/2oz chilled butter, grated
1 3/4 (440ml) buttermilk or natural yoghurt
icing sugar to dust (optional)
Bake in the oven 200C/400F fanbake for about 20 - 25 min.
