Описание: 🌸 I found this small seal half-buried in the gravel of an old workman’s park in Shizuoka City—grey, weathered, and unremarkable at first glance. But when I picked it up, I felt its unexpected weight and noticed faint raised characters on its surface. My wife recognized one: 「静」—Shizu, as in Shizuoka.

It wasn’t a coin or ornament, but a seal—soft lead once pressed shut around a wire and stamped with a die to mark the origin of goods, perhaps bales of tea bound from the Valley of Tea to the port at Shimizu. The mark certified quality, trust, and provenance. When the parcel was opened, the wire was cut, and the seal fell away—discarded, forgotten, and slowly buried by time.

Decades later, that same fragment surfaced again, not far from where it began. The city’s name still faintly visible in the metal, it had come home—an emblem of place, endurance, and the quiet continuity of Shizuoka’s trade and spirit.
