This training session provides an overview of how to assess disruptive behaviors, understand possible underlying diagnoses, and apply evidence-based treatment strategies.
Participants will review important considerations for the differential diagnosis of disruptive behaviors in youth, learn the core components of parent management training (PMT) used in treating disruptive behavior disorders (DBDs), and become familiar with medication options and best practices for their use.
Learning Objectives:
Appreciate considerations for the differential diagnosis of disruptive behaviors (DBs) in youth
Describe common key ingredients of parent management training (PMT) for disruptive behavior disorders (DBDs)
Be familiar with options for the use of medications in treating DBDs and their optimal usage
This recording is intended for primary care providers working with children and adolescents.
