Currently General Manager, IDT – Global Head of Analysis Design & Transformation at Shell accountable for digital transformation, designing and delivering digital and technology solutions. She leads a large global organisation, with a peak strength of 2500+ members and a $250M+ IT Capex portfolio, delivering over $3B in business value.
She has transformed Greenfield ventures into world-class Global Capability Centres at both Shell and Walmart, repositioning them from support units into strategic innovation hubs. Her leadership has resulted in sustained business value realisation and cost optimisation, $750M annual value from Retail Innovation Labs across 30+ markets, and award-winning delivery and operational excellence. Earlier roles at Walmart saw her build Big Data and Analytics hubs, enabling enterprise-wide AI adoption, and establishing robust governance, security and compliance frameworks across global operations.

Beyond execution excellence, Kavitha brings strong boardroom relevance through her integrated expertise in strategy, governance, risk, financial stewardship and human capital development. She is a principled yet pragmatic governance leader, serving as Presiding Officer for the Internal Complaints Committee (ICC), ensuring integrity, compliance and psychologically safe workplaces. Deeply committed to ESG, diversity and inclusion, she champions initiatives like TWIN – Together We Win, mentoring startups through the Shell E4 program, and actively collaborates with NASSCOM, Zinnov and academic institutions to shape talent pipelines and digital policy. With formal training from UC Berkeley, IIM Bangalore and U.S. universities, and a proven ability to align technology with shareholder value, Kavitha offers boards a rare blend of strategic foresight, operational rigor and human-centric leadership, focused on building future-ready, ethical and sustainable enterprises.
