What you should to know before we will start:⠀
👉 Figa - really pretty simple position;⠀
👉 Figa requires flexibility, so you should do stretching every time when your practice (but all handstands require this, so this isn’t problem);⠀
👉 Figa - it’s about twisting, but not in shoulder;⠀
⠀
⠀
🙏 Okay. Let’s start. Phase 1 | Warmup.⠀
It’s not about only Figa. You should keep this rule - “Good warmup - good training”. Don’t force yourself. Take deep breath and do calm warmup. Believe me, high quality warmup will get to you high quality training session. This is gold rule! ⠀
❗️Pay attention to Pike and Pancake stretches. Be ready to spend almost 10 minutes to stretch it (even you have average flexibility)⠀

Phase 2 | Handstands Warmup.⠀
😅 Yes... I know what you can think about. But each time you start your training session, you should also do warmup. You should feel that your shoulders, back, hips - ready to do OAHS. So take at least 20 minutes for fast recover your basics and move on!⠀
❗️For activating your shoulders do holds, transitions, and prep exercises to OA(one arm). It will turn on all needed to OAHS muscles and prepare your mind to learning something new.⠀

Phase 3 | Figa handstand.⠀
Finally! 🥳. First of all - understand movement of Figa. ⠀
I describe it in and here we will start talk really seriously things.⠀

Basic movement in Figa, where everything starts, contains two steps. But you should to do it at the same time. ⠀
1⃣ move - weight shift⠀
2⃣ move - twist with your back⠀
⠀
❗️And common mistakes come from here. Because people start thinking “at the same time”, they forget about 1⃣ move and trying to do 2⃣. This is because of inexperience. You should to understand that in handstand you not need to “think” 💬 at all. All what you need to do - just do step by step. It’s like a robot 🤖. Be like a robot.⠀

👉 So, do it step by step. And your first step - 1⃣ move. And when you standing on OA and you completely feel that you hold this position(even with another hand 🖐 supporting you), you able to do 2⃣ move. ⠀

2⃣ move is hard for understanding and feeling correct position, so prepare your phone 📱, for recording yourself. ⠀

!! We talk a lot about this move, but this move is composed by several another movement, so let’s talk about it:⠀

▫️ Outer leg 🦵 (leg in front of your position) - moves only up or down. So when you going in Figa - outer leg moves down. When you returning from Figa - outer leg moves up. So this is quite simple, right?⠀
▫️Inner leg 🦵 drawing something like semicircle. So that also pretty simple.⠀
▫️Pelvis. At the same time, when outer and inner leg moves, you should to control your balance point, which located in your stomach. Move your pelvis in opposite direction of your outer leg. Move it slowly, combine with inner leg.⠀

✅ You need to see the line from your static shoulder to knees. ⠀
🚫 If line going more to your hips - you need to move your pelvis more father away from outer leg.⠀
🚫 If line going more to your ankles and legs looking up - you need to move your pelvis closer I your outer leg direction.⠀

❗️Also keep in mind that you should have all weight in your static arm, not supporting one ❌. If your weight will go through supporting hand, you will fall at same side with legs, bend elbow, it will be hard to breath.⠀

🟢 As you see difference from Figa and basic OAHS - only in one additional move. Sounds simple and you are right 🤗. But it needed some time, so don’t force it. Be calm and patient, discover new feelings and build up technique here. This is your base where you start. This is your fundamentals so build it as more quality as you can!⠀
