My name is Ochako Daniel, and in this video I share my journey of growing up as a Pastor’s Kid (PK) — and how that journey shaped me into becoming a pastor myself.

Being a pastor’s child comes with incredible blessings: early exposure to God’s Word, a heart for service, and a front-row seat to seeing faith lived out daily. But alongside those blessings come expectations — both spoken and unspoken.

As a Pastor’s Kid (PK) or Minister’s Kid (MK), you’re often expected to:
• Behave better
• Know more Scripture
• Mature faster spiritually

Yet rarely does anyone stop to ask, “How are you really doing?”

We are close to the altar, yet sometimes far from being understood.
We are expected to be examples, yet seldom given space to process our own faith journeys.

Churches do so much to care for congregations and leaders — but the emotional and spiritual journeys of pastors’ children are often overlooked.

This is my honest story — not a perfect one.
From pastor’s child to pastor.

My prayer is that as you watch, you’ll recognize parts of your own story and feel seen, understood, and encouraged.
