Queen Anne Rooftop – Rainy Dawn Ambience in Seattle

Описание: Recorded from a roof deck in Queen Anne, overlooking downtown Seattle and Lake Union during early blue hour on January 31st. Light rain falls steadily as light slowly creeps in and people begin to stir.

The soundscape includes rainfall, cars passing on wet streets below with the splash of tires through puddles, and the occasional air brake from garbage trucks and public transit. The mix of rain, traffic, and distant city movement creates a subdued and unhurried Saturday morning atmosphere.

Queen Anne is one of Seattle’s oldest residential neighborhoods, rising above the city on a steep hill just north of downtown. It developed in the late 19th century as streetcar and cable car lines made the area accessible, and it remains known for its elevated views over Lake Union and the city core.

This field recording is best experienced with headphones, where the detail of the rain, reflections, and distant movement comes through most clearly. It also works well looped if you want to listen for longer.
