Marokko war entgegen meinen Erwartungen toll. Freundliche Menschen, eindrucksvolle Landschaften, ruhige Landstraßen, recht gute Unterkünfte und Essen. Leider war die Radreise viel zu kurz.

Aus geplanten 5-6 Wochen Radreise durch Marokko sind nur 19 Tage geworden (480 km, 6 Radtage und 13 Krankheitstage).

Am 7. Tag der Reise hab ich einen Magen- und Darminfekt und eine Erkältung im Stirnhöhlenbereich eingefangen. Das Virus ging trotz Antibiotika nicht weg, sondern ist - wie man später in Deutschland diagnostizierte - auf's Herz übergegangen, so dass ich mit einer Herzmuskel- und Herzbeutelentzündung wohl einige Monate pausieren muss.

Contrary to my expectations, Morocco was great. Friendly people, impressive landscapes, quiet country roads, reasonably good accommodation and food. Unfortunately, the bike trip was much too short.

The planned 5-6 week bike trip through Morocco turned out to be only 19 days (480 km, 6 bike days and 13 sick days).

On the 7th day of the trip I caught a stomach and intestinal infection and a cold in the frontal sinus area. Despite antibiotics, the virus did not go away, but - as was later diagnosed in Germany - spread to the heart, so that I will have to take a break for a few months with an inflammation of the heart muscle and pericardium.
