The main procedure includes:
1. Initial Inspection, using tire inspection spreader, tire pressure testing machine are used to find leaks & flaws on the tire casings, only qualified casings can be retreaded. For aircraft tires, more advanced method, such as shearography machine is used to detect the flaws of the tire casings.

2. Buffing, the worn our tread part is removed by tire buffing machine , so the new tread rubber can be applied. Sometimes, the sidewall, and even the bead part will also be buffed. With bead-to-bead retreading, the retreaded tire can have same appearance of brand new tire.

3. After buffing preparation. This step includes skiving and filling, skiving removes & cleans the flawed parts, then these parts are filled with rubber.

4. Building. The cushion gum is first applied to the buffed tire casings, then the rubber extruder machine / building machine extrudes tread rubber compound to the casings.

5. Curing This is the last main step for tire hot retreading, the casings after building is placed into the tire curing press, where a mold with tread pattern is installed. During the curing process, a suitable temperature & pressure will be applied to the tire, and after curing, the tire becomes a retreaded, usable tire.
