In this video we will look at how to remove and re-install the auger, and also how to perform a rebuild on the wormcase between the auger drive shaft and the auger shaft. Upon inspection of the worm gear wheel, the wear was deemed excessive and the wheel was replaced and the Yamaha recommended oil of 10w30 was swapped out for SAE 90 oil.

Bearing Housing Bolt (qty 6) Torques: 11 N-m = 97 in-lbs
Auger Shaft End Bolts Torques: 20 N-m = 177 in-lbs
Shear Bolt Torques: 10 N-m = 89 in-lbs
Wormcase Drain and Fill Bolts: 16 N-m = 142 in-lbs
Wormcase Bolts (qty 6) Torques: 13 N-m = 115 in-lbs (Book recommends 12 & 16 N-m but 16 N-m not advised!)
Wormcase Stay Bolts (qty 4): 23 N-M = 204 in-lbs

Auger end bearings: Qty 2 6203RS rubber shielded
Wormcase auger bearings: Qty 2 6004 open
Wormcase auger drive shaft bearings bearings: Qty 1 6201 open and Qty 1 6004 open
Wormcase auger seals: Qty 2 SD 20 30 7-2
Wormcase auger drive shaft seal: Qty 1 SD 20 42 8
