Hinduism a way of living together, not just worship system: RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat

Описание: RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat said Hinduism is not the name of a particular worship system but a way of living together, as he stressed India’s civilisational ethos of unity in diversity during an interaction with tribal groups in Ranchi.

Addressing the ‘Janjatiya Samvad’ event, Bhagwat said that while methods of worship may differ, core values remain the same. He linked the essence of Hindu thought to jal, jungle and kheti, saying India’s traditions evolved from a deep relationship with nature, as reflected in the Vedas and Upanishadic philosophy.

He underlined that the issues of Adivasi communities are issues of the entire nation and said their consent, participation and accountability are essential in matters concerning forests and land. Bhagwat also cautioned against divisions, saying fragmentation would weaken the nation’s civilisational foundation.

Tribal representatives raised concerns over religious conversion, PESA rules, delisting and cultural identity. Bhagwat assured that these issues would be conveyed to the Prime Minister and highlighted education, employment, cultural pride and self-respect as key to empowerment.
