🪶 The 112th Navajo Nation Fair Parade – Shiprock, NM (2025)
Yaateeh! Aaron Tsosie here, the person behind the camera 🎥
First off — I want to apologize to the young man at 1:10:04 in the video! I was really focused on filming and didn’t mean to sound short or make the moment awkward. “Tomorrow” is now today, and this parade video is officially live! 😄
I wanted to let everyone know that I’ve removed a few copyrighted songs from the floats so I can earn ad revenue and continue funding my travels to Indigenous events across the country. I appreciate your understanding and continued support ❤️
*note- theres a Disney float where You're Welcome was playing. I let Youtube remove the music, but keep the other audio. Thats why it sounded weird, it was right after the person asking me if I was live

🚗 My Review of the 2025 Parade:
This year marked the 112th Navajo Nation Fair Parade, one of the largest and longest-running parades in the Southwest! It’s a major highlight of the fair — celebrating Navajo culture, local schools, royalty, and community pride.
I left Phoenix at 9pm and arrived at 4am in Shiprock, NM. I parked near the bridge, about halfway to the parade start and took a 2 hour nap, before getting ready around 7am. I grabbed a breakfast burrito and coffee from a local vendor who accepted Venmo (lifesaver since I forgot to pull out cash 😂).
Being near the start of the parade was awesome — everyone was full of energy, the float volunteers were excited, and the crowds were lively with kids catching candy and waving.
MAJOR UPSET… that traffic jam! 🚗💨
It took me 2½ hours just to drive across the bridge to the fair grounds. I think traffic backed up because floats were trying to unload and turn in near the fairgrounds, causing major delays.
So here’s my advice for next year: park/camp near/at the fairgrounds and walk over to the parade. You’ll skip the traffic nightmare and make it back in time for grand entry!
Ahe’hee’ for watching and supporting my journey! If you enjoyed this parade coverage, don’t forget to like, comment, and subscribe for more pow wows, parades, and Indigenous cultural events from across Indian Country ❤️
