Drama In The Sweni 'Mega' Lion Pride - Part One. The Scare

Описание: The Sweni Mega Lion Pride currently consists of 5 lionesses, 3 huge males, and 9 cute, playful cubs.
We filmed them close to the Sweni Waterhole on the S126, relaxing in the early morning sun after they had a good meal during the night from a wildebeest they caught earlier. (Note one of the cubs playing with the Wildebeest tail, which he took as a souvenir.)
While relaxing and socializing with the playful cubs, the tranquility is interrupted by the distant roar of an intruding nomad male lion.
The first priority for the pride is to get their precious cubs out of the danger zone.
If there is a fight with an intruder, the cubs will be the first to get killed.
So, instinct drove the pride away from the approaching intruder, not because they were scared but only for the safety of the Cubs.
