A long overdue run that I'm sure people have been waiting for.
With the second highest HP pool of the regular-sized Elder Dragons and very poor hitzones, Malzerno proves to be a very challenging endurance battle for Hammer.
Courage Hammer with Dereliction needs to armor through the plethora of fast small attacks Malzeno has that don't knock the hunter back, forcing me to eventually pop a Max Potion during this quest.
The deciding factor that gave me this time (I couldn't get under 5:30 for a very long time or even 6:00 until I made this set) is probably the fact that I got both the Wyvern Riding State and a KO while Malzeno was in Blood mode, because it takes more damage during it.
I think Malzeno is one of the best designed Flagship fights in the series.
I enjoy hunting it a lot, similar to Magnamalo ; both are unique Rise/Sunbreak fights with amazing patterns and difficulty.
They make some other Flagship monsters like Tigrex and Nargacuga feel incredibly tame in comparison, and in dire need of a moveset overhaul.
