Описание: Data for the determination of the half life of metastable Barium-137 is accumulated using a Cs-137 iso-generator and a Geiger counter. The required graphs and calculations to determine the actual half life from the data collected in the experiment are discussed. This experiment is recommended for students in college, or AP chemistry, but may be used other chemistry or physics courses as well. At 15.4 min, the value for ln2 is accidentally shown as 0.639 instead of 0.693.
