After a whirlwind 5 day visit to Rovaniemi & Helsinki, it was time to head back home to Sydney via Singapore.
The first of 2 flights was AY131 from Helsinki to Singapore with @finnair on their A350-900 aircraft.
Knowing it was one of their updated cabins, when checking in I asked if there were any paid upgrades from Economy, and I was in luck.
A quick swipe of the Credit Card and everything was set, even managed to score window seat 3A which is the 2nd from the front (2A is the front window seat on the A350).
The new Collins AirLounge (No-Recline) Seat can be alienating, however I find it one of the best Business Class seats available.
Leaving on time (at 1:25am) it was a quick taxi to the runway, and we were off.
In flight catering was tasty, and plentiful, and I probably got the best sleep on a flight in a long time.
My only grievance with the Finnair product is no personal air vents, and the temperature gets set too high in the cabin. It is easier to put an extra layer on, but if too hot, taking everything off, could be problematic.
Arrival into Singapore was ahead of schedule.
Next flight, Qantas QF82 Singapore to Sydney.
